Late Night Motion

Late Night Motion was formed in late 2008 by multi-instrumentalist/musicologist Matt Baer.

He was born with perfect pitch and the ability to speak only in a chromatic scale, communicating his needs and feelings through melodies, rather than words, for most of his life. On the 87th day in kindergarten, when the class finally learned how to draw the letter Z, Baer started paying attention to school and learning how to speak English. However, as his second language, he has never been as fond of it as he is of his native tongue. It still shows in his music today.

Today Baer lives in the mountains with animals that know how to spell his last name according to societal standards and makes music on the regular in his log-cabin studio. Due to his remote location, Baer has remained tied to the internet to spread his song--and his voice--to the world. Because he doesn't need to wear shoes or use currency (he also heard talk is cheap), he shares his music freely, available on this very site, here:
